Jersey Caramel Biscuits

These super sweet treats were devoured super quickly so you might want to consider doubling the recipe!

Enjoy!

Utensils:

  • Baking tray
  • Baking paper
  • Electric beaters/Mix master
  • Small bowl
  • Spatula
  • Cutting board
  • Butter knife

Ingredients:

  • 150g pkt jersey caramels
  • 125g butter
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius and line two baking trays.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla essence and egg.
  3. Roughly half of the jersey caramel biscuits and set aside.
  4. Stir in the flour and then fold through the chopped-up jersey caramels.
  5. Roll the mixture into balls and place on the tray. Push one of the remaining jersey caramels into the biscuits. (Make sure it is in the middle otherwise it will run off the biscuit when you cook them)
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden in colour.
