Base
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 125g butter, melted
Utensils:
- Slice tray
- Baking paper
- Measuring cups
- Scales
- Glass jug
- Spatula
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a slice tray.
- Combine all ingredients until soft dough forms.
- Transfer and press into the slice tray. Bake for 15-20 mins or until golden in colour.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Filling/Middle Layer
Ingredients:
- 400g Condensed milk
- 30g butter
- 2 tblsps. golden syrup
Utensils:
- Small saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Spatula
- Measuring spoons
- Scales
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and combine over low heat.
- Pour over slice base and place into the fridge to set.
- Leave in the fridge for about 2 hours.
Topping
Ingredients:
- 200g cooking chocolate
Utensils:
- Large bowl
- Saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Spatula
Method:
- Melt chocolate in a large bowl over a saucepan.
- Pour over the caramel slice and place back in the fridge for another 30 mins or until set.
