Hot Pot Lamb Shanks (Serves 4)

Hello Everyone,

This dish is amazing and when cooked right the meat just fall off the bone. Though it does take a while to cook so if your planning on having this for dinner make sure you put it on in the morning.

Utensils:

  • Hot pot
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Chef’s knife
  • Cutting board
  • Frying pan

Ingredients:

  • 2 tins canned tomatoes
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 chokos
  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 1 popper of vegetable stock
  • Large brown onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tblsp butter

Method:

  1. Turn the hot pot onto high and allow to heat up.
  2. Cut up carrots and chokos and dice the onions and garlic.
  3. Fry the onion, garlic and butter on medium heat. When the onion starts to brown add the lamb shanks and brown off.
  4. Poor tomatoes and stock into the hot pot. Add the carrots and chokos. Once browned add the onion, garlic and lamb shanks.
  5. Place the lid on the slow cooker and allow to cook for 8 hours.
