Hello again,

This recipe is absoloutely delicious and the sauce is super versatile. It’s also super tasty with steak or chicken breasts.

Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1kg frozen prawns
  • 9 garlic cloves
  • 4 tblsps butter
  • Cream (approx. 300mL)
  • 2 tblsps. Plain flour
  • 1 ½ cups Rice
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Utensils:

  • Wok
  • Garlic crusher
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • 2x Saucepans (One is to cook the rice so if you have a rice cooker you can use that)
  • Wooden spoon
  • Whisk

Method:

  1. Peel the prawns and set aside to thaw. Half fill a saucepan with water and place on high heat to boil. Once the water begins to bubble add rice. Stirring occasionally. (Note if you have a rice cooker, cook ½ cups of rice in that).
  2. Crush 6 garlic cloves and add to the remaining saucepan with 2 tablespoons of butter. Fry off garlic on medium heat.
  3. Add flour and stir to combine. Pour a small amount of cream to the saucepan and stir until combined. Gradually add more cream, whisking constantly until the sauce begins to become runnier.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and leave on low heat while you cook the prawns.
  5. Crush the remaining 3 cloves of garlic and add to the wok with 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the prawns to the wok and cook until brown.
  6. Drain rice once cooked and serve with prawns and garlic sauce.
