Peanut Butter Drenched Cookies

Ready for your peanut butter boost? Perfect for snacking (who knows maybe you could sneak in some cookies as your breakfast), I’m about to add these goodies to our Peanut Butter month special. Cooking Utensils

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Smaller bowl- suitable for a microwave
  • Electric beater & beaters
  • Cooking trays

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup of self-raising flour
  • 3/4 cup of caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 3 heaped tbsps of peanut butter (plus 2 heaped tsps)
  • 125g of softened butter
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius and grease/line your baking trays.
  2. Cream together sugar, vanilla essence, butter and 3 tbsps of peanut butter in your large mixing bowl using electric beaters.
  3. Gradually add flour, egg and cinnamon.
  4. Mixture should be sticky but not runny once it has been properly combined.
  5. Roll the dough into into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball, place onto the tray and press down with the palm of your hand (or a fork if desired).
  6. Repeat the previous step until all the dough is gone.
  7. Place the trays in the oven and cook for roughly 13 minutes.
